I thought I'd get myself a copy of the new PD3 V4.  All I can say is WOW.  Available AC is limited right now, as content providers are working (perhaps scrambling) to get their craft into 64 bit. I can see just flying the included Bonanza A36 that this SIM is going to rock! Clap

My CH Controllers, CH Yoke Throttle Quadrant, and CH Pedals work with the best response I've ever had across a number of sims (I've had these for about 10 years!). Available as well is an update from Peter Dowson to FSUIPC5 for PD3 V4 (Link below). I installed that as well and it has given me some further latitude to modify the control buttons on the yoke with no conflict.

Now, if we can just get the awesome Citation Mustang in 64-bit compatible with PD3 V4 I'd go gaga. I saw some chatter about it here. I know it's no simple undertaking. I love that sweet machine, she flies beautifully!

Anybody else interested in that??? I suppose it has to be worthwhile for F1 to take it on, but I believe they will. At least I am hoping so. Wink

Thanks for the update Jeff! I was able to get the Mustang dialed in in FSX Steam. It's flying beautifully.

I'm looking forward to this beautiful sim craft being available in PD3 V4!

Clap

If you all need a Citation fix for PD3v4 waiting for the Mustang, I've been flying the CJ550 from Carenado. It's a bit more sophisticated, fairly easy to master, beautiful and a rocket. Pretty similar to the Mustang in many ways. I'm not trying to divert biz, as I'd love to see the Stang ready for PD3v4. Just like everyone, I'm waiting patiently. Big smile

I am very glad to hear that a P3D V4-capable Mustang is in the works. Since switching to P3D a few months ago, I tried Carenado's E50 and TBM850. Carenado told me that P3D V4.1 would fix the bugs in their G1000 implementation for these two aircraft. NOT!!! I have de-installed them both and will just wait for the Mustang.

Great news that the Stang will be P3D V4d!!!  Any timeline on when?  I just made the leap to P3D and now I have to buy all my terrain and aircraft again and the Flight1 Mustang is my top small jet.

The ONLY reason I still use FSX is because of the Citation Mustang. I feel very comfortable flying it and enjoy the systems it has to offer. Recently flew around Australia and then the World in it and it behaved beautifully. I'm now flying it in VR and love it all the more.

Bring on the P3dV4 version ...

No timeline yet, but we are getting closer since the G500/600 was released.  Dev can now turn to updating the B200, then the Mustang.

Cheers!

My biggest fear is that after soooo muuuuch time, what we're going to see is just the same mustang but compatible with p3dv4 and with airways.

After so much time im expecting a bit more than just the same mustang but p3dv4 compatible. Maybe an updated model, updated textures or so.

I dont get why they're taking so long, after all the G1000 is already running in p3dv4 with the B200.

The plane is now available here for those who want an early peek:

New Features Specific to P3Dv4:

Dynamic lighting for landing lights, beacons
Gauges compiled to 64-bit format

New for All Versions:

Added airways to the G1000 - ability to load airways and draw them
Other small improvements to the G1000, loading procedures
panel.cfg pop-ups now reflect 16:9 screen ratio

If you purchased the prior version it is just $19.95 to upgrade.  Coupons will be available sometime today on the product page.  If you can't wait, then purchase it at full price then create a ticket and we can arrange a coupon refund back to your card.

Jeff,

Thank you very much for this present!
I just have a question about G1000. Do you plan to update B200's G1000 as well?

The Mustang G1000 work is based on the B200 updates.  I don't know if dev plans to update the B200 again with the additional changes or not.  Stayed tuned to the B200 forum for the latest info.

Maybe you should address your issue in the support section. I don't subscribe to Navigraph and my Mustang flies like a dream.
