One of the most dangerous approaches for commercial jets I thought I would attempt the same with the Mustang. General aviation have a much easier task with a much straighter final. Anyone who has watched this video from you-tube knows what I'm talking about so.......
watch this one first and than my flight....stay till the end as there are 2 views...one from the cockpit and the other from outside... Hope you enjoy it.

I tried to watch your approach on my laptop but it couldn't load, I'll watch it when I get back home on my PC. I did watch the first you-tube, very impresssive. Quite a good landing. Is that visual all the way or are there some aids?

There is a published VOR approach but from what I can tell it's pretty much a visual deal. Below is a graph showing the way....

Good luck it should load just fine on your PC. :)

Great vids Gtidan, thanks much for posting!

My wife and I took a trip to Honduras several years ago, and we flew into Roatan where we were doing a bit of diving (as you probably know that area is home to the second largest barrier reef in the world Smile).  I can't remember if we first flew into Toncontin or San Pedro Sula before hopping our short flight over to Roatan, but either way, you very much captured the intensity involved in getting there!

Cheers,  Rusty

Didn't there used to be a hill at the approach end of the runway with a road on top?  I think that patch of light colored earth at the end of the runway is where it used to be.
Also what it the cockpit warning voice saying -- SINK RATE?  What does that mean (I know what PULL UP means Tongue
