It's been while since I've picked up the paint brush, but I've decided to do it one more time for the Mustang. Haven't seen anyone paint this one before, so if you know of anyone who has, stop me before I finish!

Interesting. I hope you are able to complete it; I can't wait to download it.

Completing it is not a problem, I just don't want to duplicate it. It's not even half as complicated as some of my other C510 repaints I've done.

You can go to avsim library or flightsim.com and search by my name, Johnny Rosario, and you will come across by all my repaints. The patriot mustang is one of them.

Nice work Johnny...   You should add them to the F1 Library as well.

Thanks Johnnie.

I especially like N510CJ. I know it's a very minor point but do you know how to change the cockpit reg. plate to read N510CJ?

Thanks again,

Les Parson

It's not really minor if you want your 2D panel registration number changed, because it means you have to modify the existing 2D panel artwork in the main panel folder. The three files I'm talking about is "fullview_left", "leftview", and "mainpanel". However, if you want to just change the registration number in the virtual cockpit, then you will need to modify just the "mustang_vcreg_C" artwork in your main texture folder, and add it into your livery folder instead.

Yeah, it's getting there. Got most of the livery done, but that curved line above the word Stream on the engine is kicking my butt. The problem is the way the Mustang paint kit only has one side for the upper part of the engine cover that faces out. The curve suppose to be lower on the right side, but on my livery I could only put one curve line and it automatically transfers to the other side as a mirror image. That causes one side to have the lower part on the left side rather than on the right side. I'm stump on this one, and now I know why I haven't seen a livery like this one around FSX for the Mustang.

Well, it looks like the livery will have to be release with a slight change due to the Flight1 Mustang paint kit limitations. There is no way to resolve the issue with that stubborn line. With only one spot it can be added on the kit, it will just mirror the effect, so it won't look exactly like the real livery, but close enough. I'm just going to wrap it up and release it soon.

Livery has been uploaded to avsim library, flightsim.com, and Flight1 very own free download library. Hopefully it will show up soon. Hopefully some of you will like it, and not be to over critical about the effort.

Thanks Johnny. I will install it as soon as it shows up in either AVSIM, Flightsim or Flight 1 library. I just checked the latter but not yet available.

Just found it on Flightsim.com and it looks great on my set-up. So nice to have a realistic livery of an actual Citation Mustang so many thanks for your time and effort - it is really appreciated!!! Beer

It is beautiful, nice job! I've adopted it for FS Economy. Do you know which is the home airport in Texas?

I believe it's based at Addison (KADS).

Oops, uploaded 3 DDS files to avsim library to correct a minor flaw. I doubt many could even tell unless you are familiar with the real livery. Never the less, I've fixed and uploaded the files just in case anyone wants them.
