Hello,
i was hoping someone could help me with what seems to be an OBS issue for the flight 1 cessna mustang simulator on Prepard 3D v4. Once i have taken off and have inputed all my flight plan info and set it to auto pilot with NAV....upon arriving at my destination i'd like to do a hold pattern. I go to press the OBS button and nothing happens. Does not initiate or activate. Not sure what the issue is or if i'm missing an update, but any help would be appreciated as i'm also seem unable to do any missed approaches as well. Thanks

Missed approaches when reaching the MAPt (Point) are working fine for me. FMS goes in SUSP, and then I hit OBS for unsuspend. The FMS is then sequencing the MAP. You don’t want that in normal case when you land. Like on a real G1000. OK, the cream on the cake would be that MAP is not only triggered by reaching MAPt, but also when hitting TOGA. That‘s what you
However, the OBS function is indeed not working. It should work like this: For holds: DCT to waypoint, then press OBS and select inbound course in OBS mode with CRS button; For visual approaches: DCT to airport, then press OBS and select inbound course in OBS mode with CRS button. The F1 Mustang is just such a great basis for true simulation!

Hi Guys,
I'll pass this along but, as a fix would be deep into the code, can't say if it's possible.

Thank you, Jim!
That‘s why I hadn‘t posted it before. I understand that developing a V3, you‘d have to get some good sales numbers. On the other hand: the F1 Mustang is already the most accurately simulated business jet. This is just a perfect basis for more perfection! For promoting it, you may refer to me as owner and pilot of a C510 (OE-FID), being an Instrument Rating Instructor as well. I could also contribute to a prioritized wishlist for the programmers. Some system design features for simulating emergencies and abnormals could be installed pretty easy, but with a huge benefit. Others would require more programming, though. - ENG Fire buttons: just switch off the ENG when pressed. - Air Source: losing pressurization when switched to a non working ENG. - BAT on EMER: simplified mode, disabling MFD, PFD2 and a simple text list of digital data on PFD1 for the EICAS data, disabling most other electrics (gear, flaps, all exterior lights. speedbrakes, normal brakes), power for 30 min; EMER mode is used in case of dual GEN failure (could be 1 GEN, 1 ENG) or electric fire. With no GENs and without switching to EMER, BAT will be depleted within 5 min, depending on load. - normal brakes (pedals) require normal DC (either one GEN or BAT on ON at > 16 V). - BAT for Standby Instruments: power for 30 min when dual GEN failure and they‘re ON. They are electric only. - Standby altimeter: knob not working - BAT voltage 28 V as long as at least one GEN is working on one ENG - 1460 lbs max. thrust - idle FF 120 pph, not 80 pph - no increase in thrust without additional fuel flow, e.g. when descending near idle - ENG Antice ON while in the air is automatically bringing up idle thrust in order to be effective. Idle thrust with ENG A/I ON is such that FF is 160 pph. - each ENG is getting fuel from its wing tank, balance by Fuel Transfer switch - a bit less drag on Flaps TO/APR for more realistic OEI climbs / GA - FD on takeoff: annunciated mode on the AFCS status is TO and TO, not ROL and PIT. Same functionality. - GA button: regardless of FD on or off or mode, one button click is setting FD in TO / TO mode - CAS messages do flash, until acknowledged by the flashing button. - Stall Warning High mode (white CAS; stall warning speeds +17 KIAS) when Deice Boots used, until Reset by Pitot Heat Reset. Contaminated wings. - wishing a more stable FLC mode on climbs. - Takeoff speeds automatically disabled once passing 160 KIAS - OBS mode for active GPS waypoint - DME hold mode - green donut at 1.3 VS on speed tape - display current aircraft mass and projected landing mass based on present FF on AUX page 1 - integration of a 3rd party WX RDR on MAP page 2 - windmilling ENG: N1 and N2 spooling in case of a shut down, but undamaged engine. N1 and N2 depending on air speed. Emergency Air Start without starter possible (above 4 % N2, which means above 225 KIAS, and below 15,000 ft). Windmilling RPMs could be something like N1 = N2 = (IAS/112)^2 |
